Dolomai Mangoprau from a village called Ransiki in the province of Irian Jaya, stated that he and 5 others were hunting when they saw 'the moon come down' out of the sky and came to rest in a clearing just over the rise from where they were. They were afraid but went to check it out ever so cautiously. Even before they got to the site they saw this thing that looked like a 'tin turtle' skimming over the ground picking up things as it went. The items it was taking were Kusu Tanah (small rodents like miniature Possum). I asked how big this 'turtle' was and was told it was about 'chest high to a grown man' which made it about 4.5 ft high. He also said it was about a meter in diameter. I asked him how this 'turtle' was collecting these creatures; what kind of arms it had and he said the 'turtle touched the animal with a purple light then the animal flew off the ground by it's self as the turtle moved over top of it'! The more this man talked about it the faster he talked until he was really excited and almost in tears. This is uncharacteristic for these people. They hide their feelings as they beleive it is not manly to show emotions and excitement in public. Now, Lasers are totally unheard of in this neck of the woods folks. This is a 'stone age' tribal village that had seen maybe less than 10 foreigners in thier whole history and those foreigners were missionaries and an occasional gov't official on a hunting expedition. Literature about anything regarding civilization period had never been introduced into this area let alone literature about UFO's. Seems this 'turtle' was some kind of drone/probe of some kind collecting specimens for whatever reason. I was told it even gave chase on them at one point. This was the last straw and they ran 'for their lives' so they never got to see the 'moon that came down from the sky'. I have never run across anyone over there that had claimed to have been 'taken' aboard any kind of strange craft or anything but have several other stories that were told to me first hand by natives in the most remote areas in that part of the world. If interested I can post a few more for your reading pleasure. Phill
