MOM 8 of 9 The Clintons and their bosses are putting all their money on FEMA to do the job against us. If we fail to perform our militia duties in the face of this treason, our lives and our families' lives will be worthless. American will be under communist rule and we will answer to the UN, via FEMA, for everything. The militia will not fail, however. The militia is gaining strength every day, with each new law the enemy within forces through Congress. Gun laws make us stronger. Gun laws force men off the fence and into the militia. NETWORKING: MAKING A DIFFERENCE We have never been ones to brag, pat each other on the backs or talk bad about other people who have aided in waking people up to what is happening to our country (our philosophy here at MOM is: We have no right arguing amongst ourselves while we are enslaved. Once we are free, then we can beat each other over the heads all we want to--but not until then.) We have always felt that the people in the patriot community could figure things out for themselves and not need a hand to guide them and maybe this is because we, ourselves, are this way. There are some who claim that MOM is not effective, but rather promotes hype and paranoia to collect numbers, etc. We thought it would be a good time to inform our readers of a few of the activities we have been involved in, and yes, how MOM has been effective. The majority of you are aware of our networking program which puts people in touch with each other in their own states to become an effective force at home. This network not only works on the home front but it also is very effective on a national scale when a crisis situation develops. The following stories are just three out of many examples we could site proving that when we all network together we are an effective force that cannot be easily dealt with. AURORA, ILLINOIS MOM was notified on the morning of August 10, 1994 that this city had passed an ordinance banning assault weapons (and their copycats) within the city limits. This ordinance was passed May 17, 1994. A grace period of 90 days was allowed for owners of these weapons to: 1. Make the weapon inoperable; 2. Remove the weapon from the city limits; or, 3. Purchase a certificate of ownership from the city. Now, the majority of you, like myself, would not do any of the three. We were also notified that the city had plans to enforce this ordinance on August 14, 1994 and that 200 FBI and US Marshals were there to assist. After contacting people from Illinois and assessing the situa- tion we issued a report to the network. People from around the country, especially on the eastern seaboard began pouring in faxes and telephone calls to the may- or's office in Aurora. Radio talk show hosts also spread the word. As a result, the mayor's office was basically at a standstill the next day. Coincidentally, this was the same day the crime bill was temporarily defeated in the House. We received word that our notice had reached the halls of Congress. As of this time there has not been any blatant enforcement (that we have heard) of this ordinance, however, this does not mean that if, during the course of an investigation, an illegal weapon is found charges will not be filed. This was a win for the network. WASHINGTON STATE MOM was notified on August 30, 1994 that a National Guard unit from the western side of Washington was briefed during the week of August 22. This unit was to be deployed to a town on the eastern side of the state for the purpose of search & seizure. A special emphasis was made that the unit was to create a conflict with militia organizations that were forming. This unit was also made up of 30-40% UN troops. We initially received this information from a National Guards- man. We immediately notified the network in eastern Washington, so they could be aware and be prepared. Within the next couple of days we received verification of a large military exercise that was to take place in northeastern Washington and the 4 APC's (in urban camouflage) were transported from western Washington to the eastern side of the state; military helicopters had been practicing touch and go landings at Deaconess Medical Center in Spokane, WA; a convoy of UN equipment and troops were spotted heading north out of Post Falls, ID, which is located 20 miles from the Washington border; US Border Patrol confirms special forces located along the border from northcentral Washington to northeastern Montana. The story from the Border Patrol is that these forces are for a drug interdiction operation. However, the USBP is upset because they are not involved. This would be the first time that the USBP has not been involved in a drug interdiction program along our bor- ders. After our initial bulletin to the network in northeastern Washington we learned that Washington state legislators had received a copy of our bulletin and immediately began making inquires to the military and governor's office to find out what was going on. The governor's office had no idea and the military confirmed that there was to be an exercise in northeastern Washington starting September 5, 1994. (Continued)
