C. B. Scott Jones' celebrated claim that he "honestly did not
know of any activity of the U.S. Government [in the field of
UFOs]" has now been surpassed.

He has just indicated that the government is prepared to act
violently against citizens who aggressively pursue information on
UFD cover-ups.

We invite your attention to the first paragraph of page 68 of his
paper. (C. B. Scott Jones, "Controlling Government Response:
Self Interest in a Nation State System,"_Proceedings of the
International Symposium on UFO Research_, Denver, Colorado, USA,
May 22-25, 1992, pp. 59-83.)

Given his previous "know nothing" stance one wonders how he could
write that paragraph. The remainder of his paper gives no clue.
His statement is of particular interest because Jones was on the
staff of Senator Claiborne Pell for six years. Pell is chairman
of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and he now serves on     
the board of Jones' Human Potential Foundation and also funds it.

Citizens should be concerned, and the media should be encouraged
to contact Dr. Jones and Senator Pell and demand an explanation
for this ominous proclamation.
