On the 4th of July weekend in 1983 I was driving with a friend to
Pawling, NY. I had only a very casual interest in UFO's. I looked
out the window and saw an incredible sight. Sailing majestically
overhead was a brilliantly lit, triangular something. As far as I
knew UFO's were round like saucers. I just stared at it silently for
several seconds when Drew (my friend) said " "what the hell is that"
and stopped the car. We got out and watched it as did several other
cars. It went out of sight to the west and we proceeded on our way.

On the 4th, a group of us were in Edward R. Murrow park for the
fireworks. I looked up and there it was, blinking, red, white, and
blue. I thought Oh! it's part of the 4th's celebration and forgot
about it. About a year later while browsing in a bookstore I came
upon "Night Siege, The Hudson Valley Sightings" and there it was and
it was called a UFO. I still cant believe it! How could something
that big, and that brilliant be a UFO.

I have been reading postings here about triangular craft. Is there
any new information? Any new books? Is it a classified, government
operation? Does anybody have any additional information? Although it
was ten years ago it is still a vivid memory. I have been a lot more
interested in UFO's since that time.
