The story of how we got involved with this sighting goes back to a man who wishes only to identified as "Steve". Steve noticed some very unusual orange lights showing up around 9:00 pm on March 10, 1997. Steve shot videotape for 20 minutes that night of these strange lights. He then searched the internet looking for help and information. He decided to E-mail UFO Round Up about his sightings. UFO Round Up had sent out this information and was contacted by Bill Hamilton. Few people have any idea how much UFO Round Up played a roll in us being there and taping this. Bill had called me and asked if I wanted to go with him and investigate these nightly sightings. I agreed eagerly and brought my S-VHS camera, a 30x spotting scope, and a 500 mm spotting scope.

As we approached Steve's house we were greated by many of his neighbors and finally met Steve. He stated we had just missed it as he just had a sighting and videotaped it. We then watched some of the video he had shot on March 10, 11, 12, and 13th. I asked him to show us where he had taped these lights. Steve took us up on his balcony and pointed in the direction he spotted these objects.

Within 10 minutes we saw our first object. I ran to the car and Steve helped me gather my stuff and bring it back to his balcony. The orange object was still there when we got back and I videotaped it for a few minutes.

About 10 minutes later another orange object appeared and we documented this entire event on video as Bill watched some of it thru the spotting scope.

A Orange ball of light appeared around 9:50 in Ahwatukee.
Note two orange lights side by side.
Then within seconds another orange light appeared as some witnesses on the balcony can be heard saying "theres another one". First there was one, then there was two.
Then three, then four appeared on video as we watched them.

This is another video taken from the news showing the objects in a triangle formation. This video was shot by Steve in Ahwatukee at about 8:30
Atleast one pilot reported the lights and said they were over his aircraft as he was leaving Skyhabor Airport. This would put the objects location over the city. If more of the videos can be studied we could triangulate the times and locations these objects were seen.
I have recieved numerous replies for copies of this video. Currently I work and have a dayly or nightly skywatch. Most of the requests for videos will have to be postponed until the activity over Phoenix slows down. Here is part of the video to see.
The AVI is 2 minutes and 15 seconds long and is 2 meg. It contains about half of the video I shot on March 13,1997. The clip was saved at 6fps to reduce file size so its a bit choppy.

MUFON of Arizona has been able to gather quite a few of the videos shot that night. These Phoenix lights are under the a massive investigation in Arizona. This site will be updated as more information comes in.
