Ratcliff writes:
Kodak will do the tests for free, but only so long as they are done under THEIR conditions.
Their conditions are quite reasonable in that they insist one entire roll of film be physically brought to them for examination, and then only a single frame will be snipped from the roll. (Rolls are only 3 minutes in length, so the greatest risk would be to a single roll not, the whole package alleged to have been recovered. A small risk to take to have scientifically validated what Merlin [Santilli's company] already claims it is, i.e.1947 film.)
However, I have a strong suspicion that Ray [Santilli] has very little to say about what is or is not "allowed" anymore.
After Ray's great fuss and bluster earlier this summer, and shortly after his visit showing the film to some US Senators, I have seen very dramatic changes in how this entire film affair is being handled.
It is my suspicion that Ray has had little to no control over the current release, and now absolutely no control, over any portion of the film.
It was always assumed that the film would "disappear", and now it has.
Without the Kodak dating, and without the first autopsy footage, and the full tent footage, and high quality full digital scans of all of the images for digital processing, it is doubtful we will ever learn any more than we know today -- which is basically damn little -- one very strange section of film that kind of looks an awful lot like the dissection of a strange body, but is hardly conclusive.
The film will never be analyzed by Kodak. The first autopsy and full tent footage are gone for good. The film will never get proper scientific testing or validation. And the only cameraman who fits the profile provided by Merlin (a Jack Barrett) is recorded as having died on August 3, 1995.
[Note: details on the personal history of one "Jack D. Barrett" are sketchy and conflicting at present, with some sources alleging that this person, who reportedly died in Los Angeles on August 3, was the true cameraman. However, investigation of this claim is ongoing and should be considered just another rumor until further notice. - ed.]
It is my suspicion that those who control the UFO myth got ahold of Ray in July, and explained real nice like, that he could have his little bit of film, but he was going to have to do everything *their* way. At that time Ray lost total control of the film, and has nothing to do with it at this time.
And that part's true for sure. The famed Volker Spielberg controls the film, and whomever controls him.
So... that's it folks. The show is over. A bizarre little film that kind of looks like a body getting cut up. There is virtually no chance that any scientific validation of any kind will ever be done on any aspect of this film, beyond the few frames [film analyst] Bob Shell got to look at.
CNI News comments: Don't be so sure the show is over. Stay tuned!
And here's some further fodder for consideration, while we're at it, from a trusted European source named Filip Coppens.
Filip writes:
Santilli has been lying low for weeks, partly because of a rumored miscarriage his wife had. [CNI News is reliably informed that Mrs. Santilli actually gave birth to a very premature baby that is not expected to live.] Few people have received the tapes they ordered, which only contain 30 minutes of footage. Others had their money returned. Still, the advertising for the tape continues (recently 1/3 page of a major English magazine), in which they advertise 75 minutes of uncut film. The firm placing this advertisement specializes in... soft porno. A rumor going around in English "editorial circles" is that the Russians had already seen this film, might have possessed it, in 1990.
