Dean says he has dedicated his life to bringing to light the facts surrounding the UFO phenomenon. To this end, he lectures at conferences in many parts of the world, and he appears frequently on radio and television.
But the primary project of Bob and Cecilia Dean, through Stargate International, is the Congressional Hearing Grassroots Effort. The objective of this effort is to gain immunity for ex-military personnel to enable them to testify before Congress without fear of prosecution or of losing their pensions. By this means, the Deans hope to make information about UFOs and alien activity known to the public.
The Deans claim that secret studies by various government agencies (including the alleged NATO assessment) have produced conclusive evidence of alien activity on the earth, but no evidence that alien activities pose a military danger to our armed forces or to the general public. "No hostile actions by alien aircraft or their occupants could be cited," Cecilia Dean writes. "So, why are the citizens of our country being kept in the dark on this issue, if national security is not at risk? Why has there been a conspiracy to withhold this information from the public?"
Congressional Hearings could shed light on this and many other issues regarding UFOs and their occupants, the Deans believe. To promote such hearings, Stargate will be conducting email, mail, and telephone campaigns directed toward members of Congress (both House and Senate) across the nation.
The Deans are calling for individual volunteers and organizations with an interest in this issue to join this grassroots effort. They are also seeking funding to cover the costs of the campaign.
