[CNI News thanks Patricia Welch for forwarding the following story.]

A two-day UFO educational program, timed to be accessible to the returning student population, will be held at three sites in the Chicago area on October 6 and 7, 1995. The theme for this year's program will be: Alien Abductions.

An outdoor exhibit will be on display at lunchtime on Friday [Oct 6]; lectures by abduction investigators and experiencers will be presented on Friday and Saturday evenings. This year's speakers will be: Katharina Wilson, author of "The Alien Jigsaw"; John Carpenter, Director of Abduction Research for Mutual UFO Network (MUFON); Yvonne Smith, a certified hypnotherapist and abduction researcher; and Dr. Edward Carlos, a college professor whose artwork has been strongly influenced by his alien encounter experiences.

Sponsored by: the Chicago Area Center for Encounter Support, Operation Right To Know (ORTK), Chicago MUFON, and the Center for UFO Studies (CUFOS), this two-day program is being offered to inform both the general public as well as the academic and scientific communities of the wealth of carefully-researched documentation available concerning the worldwide UFO phenomenon.

Outdoor photo displays and open-forum discussions will be available from 11:30am-1:30pm on Friday, October 6th, at the Kluczynski Federal Building plaza (230 South Dearborn in Chicago); this exhibit is free to the public.

The Friday night lectures will be presented by Katharina Wilson and John Carpenter, and the Q&A session will be moderated by Mark Rodeghier, Scientific Director of CUFOS. This event will be held from 7:00-11:00pm, October 6th, at the College of DuPage/Fine Arts Theater (22nd and Lambert Road in Glen Ellyn, Illinois); tickets will be on sale at the door for $10 per person, per night.

The Saturday night lectures by Yvonne Smith and Dr. Edward Carlos will be held from 7:00-11:00pm, October 7th, at the Museum of Science & Industry (57th and South Lake Shore Drive in Chicago); tickets will be on sale at the door for $10 per person per night.
