BUDD HOPKINS' LONG-AWAITED NEW BOOK DUE IN SEPTEMBER

Details Amazing New York City Abduction Confirmed by Witnesses

[Aug 15, 1996] -- Internationally known abduction researcher Budd Hopkins has waited a long time to bring out another book since his bombshell 1987 best-seller "Intruders." For over five years, he's worked to establish the credibility of one incredible case. Now, finally, we'll get to see the fruits of his labor in WITNESSED, to be issued by Pocket Books (Hardcover/$23.00), in September.

In his new book, Hopkins describes the abduction of Linda Cortile near the Brooklyn Bridge, allegedly witnessed by several people including a major world political leader.

According to the story, on November 30, l989, Linda Cortile was abducted by a UFO from her twelfth story bedroom overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City. Abducted several times before, this time for Linda was different for two reasons: there were witnesses and the abduction took place in a major city, not a remote rural area. Some of those who observed Linda's capture were driving along New York City's FDR Drive and the Brooklyn Bridge at the time.

As Budd Hopkins investigated this case, he encountered strangers whose recollections of that remarkable night matched one another's; and he uncovered an unsettling truth behind the repeated visitations: these aliens were conducting human behavior experiments with the same subjects over time. Linda was just one of these alien experiments.

Budd Hopkins is the founder and executive director of IF, the Intruders Foundation, an organization devoted to research and public education concerning the UFO abduction phenomenon. He is widely regarded as the leading pioneer to bring a measure of respectability and mainstream attention to the bizarre claims of abduction. He is a sought-after speaker at many major conferences around the world and has appeared on dozens of television talk shows and radio programs.
