[July 12, 1996] -- If all goes according to plan, "Alien Implants: Fact or Fiction?" will be the first to air of four shows proposed to a major network by executive producer Robert Kiviat.
Kiviat [says] he feels confident that the first program to air in the series, the implant show featuring the work of self-professed alien hunter Derrel Sims, will air in the early fall of this year.
Kiviat, the man who brought us the now notorious "Alien Autopsy: Fact or Fiction?" footage which aired on Fox Television last year, promises a "very journalistic treatment" of the alien implant subject, adding, "This is the first time any show has shown abundant evidence of implants."
Present at three surgeries removing alleged implants [performed in southern California in May], Kiviat reported he was amazed that in none of the cases was there a "visible point of entry, such as a mark or a scar" for the objects imbedded deeply in the tissues of the surgical patients.
It is Kiviat's plan to present alternative explanations for the possible implantation, including very terrestrial ones. He suspects that government or perhaps "big business" might be the culprits.
The second show Kiviat hopes to air is "Alien Autopsy Cameraman: Fact or Fiction?" -- in which he promises an "in silhouette" interview with the elderly gentleman who in the 1940s purportedly shot the famous footage of doctors performing an autopsy or dissection on a strange being who some believe is an extraterrestrial.
The former "Unsolved Mysteries" and "Encounters" producer hinted that third and fourth productions may also deal with ET-related themes, and will air sometime later.
One of those projects will take a look at possible life on other planets and will include Richard Hoagland's material concerning Moon and Mars anomalies. Kiviat didn't wish to comment about the proposed subject matter for the fourth show.
"I have an interest in the possibilities of the 'what if' scenerios," he comments. "Are we alone? Does the government have evidence that UFOs have landed or crashed here?"
Kiviat described his approach to the UFO and other paranormal subjects: "Let's find out how much evidence there is. And in doing that, I've uncovered amazing stories about people and how they've been affected by the alleged evidence, the (acquisition) of evidence, and what happens when they go public with this evidence.
