If what Ed Dames says is true, then we should all drop everything else we're doing and join together to both survive ourselves and support as many others as possible to survive what's coming.
Bottom line: Dames says that approximately 80% of humanity will be killed in a series of environmental and cosmic catastrophes over the next ~20 years. A strange, so-far incomprehensibe "almost supernatural" event will occur in late 1999 that will accelerate the series of discontinuities. This event will somehow profoundly effect the consciousness of all of humanity.
Although initially skeptical, [this writer] ended up feeling that Ed Dames is a grounded, responsible, and high integrity person. He was the operations head of the classified US Dept. of Defense "Technical Remote Viewing" (TRV) project for many years and participated in many high-level national security operations using this technology. When he retired from the military a few years ago, he took the best TRVers with him from the DoD program and formed the private company Psi-Tech, now located in Beverly Hills, CA. He is the President of the company, and retired Army Intelligence officer General Albert Stubblebine is the CEO.
All of the information Dames talks about was discovered using the rigorous TRV methodology Psi-Tech has developed. Major Dames says that they have refined the techniques to the point that they now appear to be getting "100% accuracy."
The information he reveals in this Art Bell interview, which Psi-Tech began discovering about a year ago, is so critical that Psi-Tech has decided to devote ALL of its resources to using TRVing to identify the exact sequence of catastrophes, safe sanctuaries, etc. They will be issuing a series of precise reports starting a couple of months from now.

What they are attempting to do is establish a credibility base over the next few months, by predicting earthquakes and volcanoes -- things that are easily verifiable. As their company advertises "100% accuracy," they have determined that they will prove it in this manner, thereby establishing public trust, before reporting on more esoteric subjects or events. You may track their results by simply checking out their web page periodically. They have recently announced their very detailed conclusions regarding TWA's flight 800 and what caused the crash, as a first step toward these ends, for example.
Major Dames says that the focus of Psi-Tech's work is shifting dramatically now because of the acceleration of discontinuities he and his staff are tracking. A time line which was originally twenty years off or so, has now been compressed into the next three and a half years; thus the urgency. Most interesting is the profound and inexplicable event at the end of the century. Perhaps this is what Terence McKenna calls "the Transcendental Object at the End of Time which is finally coming to meet us," (and then perhaps eat us?!) We don't know. But somethin' is afoot, and the signs and signals seem to be proliferating these days.
More specifically, Major Dames' team is seeing dramatic earth changes, such as deterioration in the earth's ozone layer, which is already in progress and perhaps responsible (uv-radiation) for the deformities in frog's eggs in northern climates such as Minnesota. [He foresees] ravaging epidemics [and] stresses the importance of building up the immune system now and abandoning urban environments, which will be particularly prone to disease outbreaks, while there's still time.
He also suggests that through their remote viewing techniques they have indication that comet Hale-Bopp, which will make an appearance in April of 1997, has some kind of "intelligence" behind it and that anomalous events may surround its return.
He also mentions that Hoagland's Mars hypothesis is essentially valid and that there ARE aliens living there, who are more or less looking out for our good and for the planet's survival. He says that a hybrid species will be among us on the planet during this next period of accelerated discontinuities, and will help to rebuild the Earth's ecology after the coming changes.
This may all sound nutty to some, but IF all Major Dames says is true, nothing could be more important during this time than to gather together, educate ourselves, and inform others. Together, by combining our resources, we can hopefully make it through the coming changes. Alone and ignorant and in denial, our chances are greatly reduced.
Our world is in deep trouble, deeper than anything we can imagine. Perhaps the worst mistake any of us can make at this time is to pretend that it just isn't so, or worse, to look the other way.
