[CNI News thanks Australian UFO researchers Glennys Mackay and Keith Basterfield for sending the material in this story. Glennys Mackay is the researcher and hypnotherapist who has dealt directly with the witnesses. Glennys lives and works in Brisbane, on the east coast of Australia. She reports the following case based on counseling and hypnosis of a woman whose husband and family have experienced a long and continuing series of usual events.]
Glennys writes:
[The woman] lives with her husband and son in a fairly isolated area in the hinterland of the Gold Coast (about an hour's drive from Brisbane) About two years ago, things started happening around her place. She began seeing shapes in her room, hearing footsteps through her house, and being awakened at night by bright light that lights up the area around her house.
Her house is high up, built of timber, with a balcony almost all around the outside. The land is hilly. There are four large dams on the 20 acre property, a very huge shed about 25 yards from the house and a large workshop. Her husband is a builder and travels away a lot, so she is left by herself. There is quite a distance between her house and the neighbours. The back of the property is very thick with trees and virgin land, and lots of native animals are seen around the property.
She tells me that she has seen her husband when he has been working by the bottom dam on the property, talking to a very tall person in a grey body suit. She has seen "it" walk away and then disappear.
About 5 months ago, she was frightened one morning about 3:00 am when she got up to investigate movement in the second bedroom. She actually saw her husband being taken out of the bedroom through a wall. She said, "Glennys, please don't tell me I am going crazy! I actually saw my husband being taken through the wall."
Once she was awakened by a bright orange-red light over the shed and saw a shadow across the roof. Then after some time it disappeared. Next morning she found the dam behind the shed was almost empty (this is a very huge dam and would take a lot to empty). She blamed her husband, asking why he would want to empty the dam. She did not connect the lights to the dam.
I must add here that this woman is not into UFOs or anything remotely like it. She is a busy lady who worked up until six months ago when she found she could not cope with what has been happening around her place.
I was contacted on Monday, April 14 by this lady, telling me she had found some strange footprints on her veranda. She had her friend come down and photograph them. She faxed me a drawing of the area (this was the front of her house where she does not go every day). She tells me that she had washed the area about four days previously and was shocked to find these footprints along her veranda and one on the top step. On looking at the drawing, my husband George and I decided to visit her.
These footprints are something I have personally never seen before. They were 13 and half inches long. The big toe is extremely long. The foot is very narrow, with two smaller toes which seemed lower down but close to the foot (squashed up). It had been raining the day before and the ground was wet. Consequently this creature had picked up the dirt on its feet and tracked it along the veranda.
At the top step there is a heavy wire mesh gate (1.3 meters tall) to stop animals coming up on the veranda. By the footprints, this thing would have to have walked through it or, being extremely tall, may have just stepped over. The pressure on the feet was evenly balanced.
Her daughter was also home when we arrived, and I asked her about this. Her comment was, "In the past, I just thought Mum was imagining all this, but I have been seeing things on my way home late at night." They also have three large dogs who from time to time go crazy barking at something they cannot see.
Because of all this activity, she and her husband are leading more or less separate lives (he in one bedroom and she in another). She "swears to God" that she hears her husband moving around in the early hours and when she goes to check, he is not there.
