The world famous Skywatchers' "Shoreline Park," as featured on the SIGHTINGS television program, will never be the same. The City of Gulf Breeze is in the process of erecting a boardwalk and three large gazebos made of plastic along the entire shoreline. This "city improvement" will destroy the natural sea shore and permanently obscure the eastern, southern and western skyline from view.
On almost any night of the week in recent years, UFO watchers have gathered in the park, watching for the trademark Gulf Breeze UFOs that have been sighted hundreds of times since late 1987. UFO researchers are lamenting the prospect of soon being cut off from one of the most famous UFO hot spots in the continental United States.
