Maybe you thought you'd heard the last of the infamous "alien autopsy" film footage. But CNI News has just learned that Bob Kiviat, who produced "Alien Autopsy: Fact or Fiction" for FOX in 1995, is now working on a followup TV special that will label the autopsy footage a hoax. British researcher Philip Mantle says the new program will air in the United States in late May or June, 1998, though a date has not been announced.
Mantle corresponded with autopsy film owner Ray Santilli, who had this to say about Kiviat's latest effort in a letter dated April 9, 1998:
"Firstly I acknowledge that Bob [Kiviat] will make an entertaining show but no matter what we come up with he will still direct his show along the lines dictated by the commissioning from FOX. In other words, he will make a show about hoaxes and include the AA story no matter what. It's the kind of person he is.
"I am not concerned about any additional information that Bob may have, as it cannot effect the AA film. The AA film is untouchable!!
"For your information, Bob does not have the right to use the film or any materials that are owned or controlled by this [Santilli's] company. Permission to use clips of the film will be refused. In addition, notice will be served on all concerned that any use of our materials will be treated as a breach of copyright (copyright which has already been acknowledged by both Bob and FOX).
"Secondly, when the time is right (after Bob's transmission) we will respond so comprehensively that Bob can only find himself extremely embarrassed. For my part I am sorry to see Bob jump ship, as he would have been my choice to make the show relating to the 'bigger' story."
Santilli's assertion that neither Kiviat nor FOX have any rights to air segments of the autopsy footage seems to set the stage for a possible legal stuggle if Kiviat's new production goes forward. Either way, Santilli's promise of a forthcoming "comprehensive" presentation of the "bigger story" is something autopsy watchers have wanted ever since the autopsy first went public in early 1995. Stay tuned.
