I am making the necessary adjustments to the page thing, however the reason that some of the files are appearing on the message base is to accomodate our UUCP readers. They are unable to receive files as we all do on this end and therefore they get posted as a message. This way all can participate in disucssions of certain materials that grace ParaNet. As for the business about posting, this is a good suggestion. All should post their ideas, so let's post! Also it is interesting to note that geomagnetic disturbance is quite prevelant in the area surrounding the Pine Gap facility and that the enttire area is in fact under the direct control of the United States Govt. And not the Australian Govt. Only 35 Australians are employed on the facility and these are signals operators from the 7th Signal Regt. employed in the relay operations centre. -- Frank Scott - via FidoNet node 1:104/422 UUCP: ...!scicom!3!712!313!Frank.Scott INTERNET: Frank.Scott@f313.n712.z3.FIDONET.ORG -------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: 4 Sep 89 22:38:00 GMT From: paranet!f364.n633.z3.FIDONET.ORG!Mike.Paull Subject: Re: New Issue Of Ufo Hi Bryon, Have you recieved my Netmail message? It might not get there. I was informed by our Network Co-ordinator that there is a problem with Netmail, and he said my netmail may not get to you, and i may not get any netmail addressed to me. (Of course this applies to all in our net, not just me !) So if you are wondering what happened to the messages you know. I guess i'll be informed when the problem is sorted out.... As for the Sats, wouldnt it be nice to have a reciever that could tune into there frequency, and a decoder to de-scramble the transmissions. These "Spy Sats" would be beaming back all sorts of interesting pictures, and no doubt that they would have caught some UFO pictures. With the Russians spying on the United States, and the United States spying on Russia, and Australia's Pine Gap Base repeating American Satellite signals, ONE ( at least ) of the many satellites must have picked up something, or been over a spot where regular UFO sighting occur. Wouldnt you like to look through the Militaries photo album! Everyone assumes, and perhaps there is emphasis put on spying on Soviet Russia. So thats what everyone thinks, "Oh, there launching another sat to spy on the russians, big deal.." So Nasa close all communications channels that are usually open to the public and everyone goes along with it.. Good way of covering up what the real purpose is, and who's going to know the difference anyway? Yeah i agree that holding back information "For our own good" is a crock. Like file tapes of sightings going missing and other reports being files away in the "LOST Cabinet". I suppose they would say that telling us of UFO sightings could cause mass hysteria ( "Its all Orson Wells fault!" ) and stuff like that. Maybe one day someone will get hold of some file tapes or something, although the Military would probably claim they are file tapes of Stealth Fighter flights! Ok people call me preacher. It is a long story and one that I will not go into here. Let it be enough to say that I have an open mind to many things. I am the AsstAdMin here at lopez. I live on the southern shore of Lake Superior. The weather up here is best for skis and dog sleds. As for things of the ParaNet type well I guess you would just have to live here to see it for yourself. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: 3 Sep 89 23:20:55 GMT From: paranet!M..Cannon Subject: Gulf Breeze, etc. The following lead is, I realize, onion-skin thin...but I'm curious enough to bring the matter up before the assembly for comment. Does anyone know if the "Ed Walters" of the Gulf Breeze case is the same person as the "Ed Walters" who had prominent role in Scientology during the mid-to-late '70s? (See Russell Miller's terrific Hubbard biography, "Bare-faced Messiah," for info on the other Ed.) Also, on a related note: I am perticularly interested in the social history of the UFO controversy. Does anyone out there have any special knowledge of possible interaction between Scientology and other cults and the fringes of the UFO movement? I understand that, for example, prominent Scientologists used to hang out at Van Tassell's Integraton...as did the neo-Nazi Rev. Wesley Swift. This sort of thing fascinates me. Anyone else have info along this line? Oh...Linda...gotta warn about taking Tom Bearden too seriously. I suspect he's a mendacious fellow, and I know he's a spook. (I have in my possession a letter written by a Bearden associate named Michrowski in which Bearden is clearly identified as an intelligence agent.) Bearden blames all the world's ills on the dastardly Soviets...so much so, that he would have his audience axcrept at face value a DIA report on Soviet-bloc experiments in the behavioral effects of electromagnetic radiation. Actually, this report is a notorious fraud, which ascribes the work of the American scientist Adey to later soviet scientists. (See Brodeur's "The Zapping of America.") Blaming/crediting soviets for American work is an old tactic, called "mirror imaging", which is especially useful for squeezing money out of congress. Point being, Bearden's purpose in life seems to be to help the "mirror imaging" along. So when he says something, you might be wise to follow Willy Wonka's dictum: "Strike that -- reverse it."
