The lady in the newsroom said that the checks enthusiasts had sent in for copies were being kept in "a box" (!), because the broadcast version used copyrighted footage from ET or whatever, and any tapes sent out would have to be re-edited to take it out, because they couldn't get releases from whoever owned the copyrights. There was a pause, and I asked when this would be done. She said that right now nobody was particularly interested in re-editing all the footage. Another pause. Then I asked her to fish my check out of the "box" and tear it up, and she *cheerfully* agreed to do so. I told her I would keep in touch and hung up. Folks, I think the fix is in, as they say. I expect that somebody will get around to "re-editing" the special during the next July snowstorm in Las Vegas. In the meantime, I'd stop checks written for the tape. By the way, with all the debating about Moore's spreading around "disinformation" - why do you assume that it *is* disinformation, simply because Moore was told that it was, and he found it easier to believe as space opera than real history? I'm with the guy who offered a bounty for the first Grey Head. I wish I could deliver it. When we get some meat on the table we can make up our minds. All talk and speculation is just that, and may be fun, but in the abscence of physical evidence it's truth-light at best. I am doing some research about these areas and am looking for leads. Nothing spectacular, but curious. Just the VHS format. No problem. It's difficult to find compatibility right now, but next year it won't be a problem. 8mm is gearing up to be the second generation video standard. -- Mac Druaidh - via FidoNet node 1:104/422 UUCP: !scicom!paranet!User_Name INTERNET: Mac.Druaidh@f18.n30163.z1.FIDONET.ORG -------------------------------------------------------------------- From: paranet!f18.n30163.z1.FIDONET.ORG!Mac.Druaidh Subject: Re: The State Of Events Date: 15 Dec 89 16:02:00 GMT BS} But I am here to tell you the Satanists do some really BS} bizzar disgusting things in this area and they are very BS} active. It's odd; I know a few Satanists that I'd love to have for neighbors. The same problem with Satanism is present in Christianity and other faiths, in that the active element gives the entire group a bad name. BS} I don't even know what a "Wiccan" is so I certanly don't BS} intend to intentionally offend any of them. Commonly known as a witch, or a practicer of the Old Religion, et cetera. Most Wiccans and witches do not accept Christianity (or its subset of Satanism) as valid for themselves, and have their own gods and goddesses to deal with. -- Mac Druaidh - via FidoNet node 1:104/422 UUCP: !scicom!paranet!User_Name INTERNET: Mac.Druaidh@f18.n30163.z1.FIDONET.ORG -------------------------------------------------------------------- From: paranet!p0.f422.n104.z1.FIDONET.ORG!Mike.Byers Subject: tesla Date: 17 Dec 89 15:45:00 GMT Add the following to the list of Tesla related orginizations and information High Energy Enterprises PO Box 5636 Security, Co. 80931 High Energy also can provide information on the International Tesla Society and a magazine "for the inquisitive" EXTRAORDINARY SCIENCE. It is my understanding that High Energy publishes this magazine. The catalog and other information from High Energy is first rate. The catalog list a number of rare books and materials (no mystery just no big demand by the public at large) that have been discussed on this echo. Some of the authors are D. Hatcher Childress, Rho Sigma, Margaret Cheney, John T. Ratzlaff, Thomas C. Martin, Nikola Tesla himself in the form of reprinted notebooks (who knows if complete or all of them) as well as other authors. Its a good collection of related books and papers on Tesla related works. Additionaly I did log into the Tesla bbs (719) 486-2775 and found one file of particular interest, conserning TESLA, Inc. (a non profit corporation) and a proposal for Project Tesla, this project conserns wireless power transmission please see PRJTESLA.TXT in the new files area.
