Did they show the part where the cameraman is jockeying with the focus, then gets it in sharp focus? That was where it became really impressive. When its finally in focus, it makes a couple of moves that show maneuverability in three dimensions (extremely hard to do with strings or wires), and sunlight glints off the surface at one angle. Is that what you saw? You'd almost have to view it several times in slow motion to get a feel for what I'm talking about. Good question, Lou. I think the guy to ask this of would be George Eberhart of CUFOS. If anyone calls CUFOS in the near future, try to remember Lou's question. A "prototypical" grey was described by Betty and Barney Hill, who went on the talk show circuit back in 1966 after "The Interrupted Journey" was published. The first "modern" grey to be described in the media was probably one of Travis Walton's, around 1975. But I'm not sure how these dates correlate with lesser cases that might or might not have been in the LOCAL media. It is scheduled to start at 10:30 pm here on KDKA in west Pennsylvania. As having been mentioned before, a more detailed account concerning the Princeton team's experimental results ( peer reviewed ) can be found in the last December's issue of Foundations of Physics ( Dean Radin & Roger Nelson, Evidence for Consciousness-Related Anomalies in Random Physical Systems, FOP, Vol.19(1989), No.12, 1499-1514 ). The Hebrew is very ambiguous concerning these "fallen ones". Rashi, a medieval commentator was the first to suggest that the meaning of the Hebrew masculine plural participle meant "those who fall", as the root of the word (npl) is commonly used in the Bible with the same meaning. However, a fall from heaven, to Rashi did not necessarily mean a fall from the sky. The theological implications of "heaven" were already in place by the 12th century AD. despite the fact that the Hebew ha-shamayim may mean sky. On the other hand, there is a wealth of information concerning the giants, not only in the later apocryphal works, but also in the Bible and Talmud. I too have researched this subject in depth, as I am a Near Eastern Studies graduate student and deal with many of these types of things, in numerous ancient languages. It has also been suggested that there are Sumerian counterparts, as I also believe there are Aegean ones as well. A good book for anyone interested in the process of monolatry in the Mediterranean World is in publication and should be out in November. Black Athena, by Martin Bernal.Vol. 2. In this book, I established a relationship between the biblical Og of Bashan (giant whom Moses slew), and the Aegean primal legend of the first ruler of Boiotia, Ogygos. The Talmud is very interesting on Og of Bashan. There are many "giant" stories in the ancient Near East. There are also huge ruins of a citadel from the time of Og, in the Trans-Jordan, in the home of the bibical giants. See Jerusalem Post 1987 Oct. issue. I believe this is the correct citation...if it isn't I will repost the correct issue. Anyone interested in more information, or with questions please write directly. As for the connections to UFO's and the like...well, I guess I'm not completely convinced. I do not doubt the possiblity of connection, but there just is not enough evidence in this regard. It just might be socio-politi cal mythology. Anyway.... -------------------------------------------------------------------- From: gmz@well.sf.ca.us (Gerry Zeitlin) Subject: Mercury drives Date: 9 Feb 90 21:10:19 GMT For a very provocative article on how mercury might be used in anti- gravity drives, see *Annals of Ufological Research Advances*, vol 1, no. 4, Nov 1985. Is the question about the meaning of the abbreviation? Or is about why the DIA would be actioned on this message? Don't know that I can give anyone a concrete answer on the second question. I do have some thoughts. As to the first question, DIA is the abbreviation for the Defense Intelligence Agency, a department of DoD. DIA would have assets in place that might help gain more information, should more information be desired. Usually, the DIA has assets in each embassy. Sometimes they are known to and work with CIA. Other times they are so covert that only select people know about them in DIA. Same holds true for CIA. I think we can safely assume that the CIA and DIA are in bed on this one. Notice that the Distribution List (DISTR) includes the CIA in DC. Also, I find it very interesting that the top brass of each branch of service is on the distribution as well. CMC= Commandant of the Marine Corps; CSAF= Chief of Staff for the Air Force; CNO= Chief of Naval Operations; CSA= Chief of Staff of the Army. I imagine that the original security classification on this message was more than TS, though it may well have been just TS. Also notice that State and NSA are on the list. Why aren't there any Congressional committees on here, like the Intelligence Committee?
