Hi all.  

   I work with a 60-year old guy who started out as a radar engineer
at Jodrell Bank Observatory (radar) back in the 50's. Over a period of
two weeks, the instruments there picked up what was later described as
a fault by the MoD. The radar signal showed a mysterious object doing
mach 3 and making 90 degree turns every so often.

A team of 12 engineers were brought in to fix the 'fault` and couldnt
find anything wrong with the equipment. When this fact was reported,
the MoD walked in and removed all the data and tapes saying their guys
had fixed the 'fault'. the lab was shut down for rennovation for a
fortnight and when it was re-opened, the engineers were re-assigned to
different projects and told to keep quiet about the incident, or they
would be ridiculed.

Does anyone have anything more on this incident, or am I being wound
up?  ..I`ll try to get more info.
