February 28, 1991 Mr. Whitley Strieber 496 LaGuardia Place New York, NY 10012 Dear Whitley, This is my fourth and final letter to you in regards to the rather nebulous structure and lack of adept leadership of the Chicago area "Communion" group. I really do not understand why you have not responded to my questions. To reiterate my grievance, half of the group was "voted" out at a clandestine meeting, by members that had never even met me or my fellow excommunicates. The group has become a small, secretive, cult-like oterie, which has no intention or aspiration of unraveling the mystery of the visitors. There is virtually no organized interaction between groups, and the Communion network (through which I have made many important contacts) seems to be disintegrating. I have been trying to locate a hypnotherapist for a witness living in a remote area of Oregon, but have had no success. I thought this is what the "Communion" groups were supposed to be all about. People helping people. Perhaps I am wrong. In any case, I would greatly appreciate your input in this matter if for nothing more than to reaffirm my belief in your earnestness and consideration. You stated in an interview with Larry King that you have only told about ten percent of your story. Don't you think it's time to get on with it? Individually, we are ineffectual, but as a group, we can work miracles. Best wishes, Sheldon Wernikoff 9200 Niles Center Road Skokie, IL 60076-1548 cc: Whitley Strieber Dora Ruffner
