THE LAS VEGAS MUFON NEWS ************************ Volume 1 - Issue 1 Welcome to the premier issue of the Las Vegas MUFON News official newsletter of the Las Vegas chapter of the Mutual UFO Network. For those of you who are not familiar with MUFON, let me give you a little background information on our organization. The Mutual UFO Network, Inc. is an international scientific organization composed of people seriously interested in studying and researching the phenomenon known as unidentified flying objects, UFOs, and combining their mutual talents, areas of expertise and investigative efforts. MUFON firmly believes that a concentrated scientific study by dedicated investigators and researchers will provide the ultimate answer to the UFO enigma. Founded on May 31, 1969, MUFON's phenomenal success may be attributed to the "grass roots" nature of the organization where a majority of the leadership and motivation is achieved at the local level. In North America, a State or Provincial Director oversees the investigative activities of the Field Investigators through State Section Directors. An International Coordinator and seven Continental Coordinators work with the Foreign Representatives and National Directors in each country on the international scene. MUFON is governed by a Board of Directors composed of 17 men and women and administered by an Executive Committee. MUFONs Board of Consultants, most of whom are PhDs or MDs representing 45 areas of science, technology, medicine, psychiatry, theology, engineering, astronomy, communications, political science, photo analysis, etc. are readily available as an advisory group to apply their expertise to UFO cases under study and to conduct advanced research in their respective field. Starting in 1970, MUFON has sponsored an Annual International UFO Symposium where world known scientists, engineers, university professors and authors lecture on their particular specialization or contributions to resolving this perplexing scientific dilemma. To provide a permanent record of the presentations, the copyrighted symposium proceedings are published annually for worldwide distribution. In order that only qualified, competent and sincere people may become involved, membership in MUFON is by invitation only. Anyone interested in helping to resolve the UFO phenomenon is invited to join by submitting a membership application and appropriate dues for approval. Based upon their education and experience, members may serve in one or more of the following positions: Consultant, State or Provincial Director, State Section Director, Foreign Representative, Field Investigator, Research Specialist, Amateur Radio Operator, Astronomy, Field Investigator Trainee, Translator, UFO News Clipping Service, Contributing Subscriber, or Associate Member (under 18 years of age.) Field Investigators are trained and high standards of professionalism are required by MUFON. As objective scientific researchers, MUFON Field Investigators uphold the confidentiality of witnesses and case information. Investigators are volunteers who conduct research at their own expense, and attempt to document sighting information in a thorough and unbiased manner. The third edition of the copyrighted "MUFON FIELD INVESTIGATORS MANUAL", published in 1983, provides effective guidelines, techniques and suggestions to members conducting UFO sighting interviews and investigations. Amateur radio networks, operating weekly, are utilized to receive and disseminate UFO sighting reports and current UFO information. The exact dates, times and frequencies are listed below: MUFON AMATEUR RADIO NET 80 Meters - 3.929 MHz Saturday, 9:00 pm 40 Meters - 7.237 MHz Saturday, 8:00 am 10 Meters - 28.470 MHz Sunday, 3:00 pm ALL TIMES ARE EASTERN STANDARD OR DAYLIGHT A master file, containing all submitted UFO sighting reports, arranged chronologically by state, province, and country, is maintained in the MUFON administrative offices. A 24 page monthly magazine, the MUFON UFO JOURNAL is our most significant means of sharing details of the UFO sighting reports and vital information related to the UFO phenomenon with our members throughout the world. A subscription to the Journal is included in the annual membership dues of $25.00 in the USA and $30.00 in foreign countries in U.S. funds. LOCAL MUFON NEWS Having just recently taken over the role of MUFON State Section Director for the Las Vegas Area, I have been busy trying to get things organized, and have not actually been able to get any major projects or investigations started yet, but will be changing here very shortly. I am currently looking for any members who would like to lead or join an investigative team. Two local areas that could use some serious scrutiny is Nelson, Nevada, where there have been multiple sightings in the past, and of course, Area 51, where the government is allegedly test flying alien spacecraft. If you would like to volunteer for either of these groups, or have any information concerning either area, please contact me. Another area that needs to be addressed is the training of Field Investigator Trainees. At the moment we don't have any full fledged investigators but I hope that will change in the near future. We would like to possibly setup monthly meetings/training sessions on either Monday or Tuesday evenings, or any morning. If you are interested in attending, please contact me with your ideas and/or when you would be available for such meetings. We are also in the process of setting up a phone network to receive reports of UFO sightings. If you would like to volunteer your phone number, it will be added to the list and sent out to the various agencies. Hopefully, they in turn, will refer anyone reporting a UFO sighting to us. I admit, you will more than likely get an occasional crank call, but if you have an answering machine, it won't be that bad. If you are interested in adding your number to the list, let me know as soon as possible. For anyone who is interested, Bob Lazar has a new video out that explains, in detail, the propulsion system on the "saucers" he allegedly worked on at Area 51. You can order the tape from the address below: TRIDOT PRODUCTIONS 1324 S. EASTERN AVENUE LAS VEGAS, NV 89104 The tape sells for $29.95 plus $3.50 for postage and handling. LOCAL UFO HAPPENINGS Things have been very quiet lately. To the best of my knowledge, there have not been any good sightings out at Area 51 in several weeks. While recently talking with Mr. John Lear, he suggested that they may have moved their flights slightly west to avoid prying eyes. This means that one of the best areas for viewing would be between Goldfield and Tonapah, Nevada. State Section Director Donald Tyson is keeping his eyes open. I recently got word that there was a close encounter along Interstate 15 between Stateline, Nevada and Baker California. A couple, who wish to remain anonymous, claimed that a UFO flew down and hovered over their car, terrifying them. I received the story second-hand, and there were no further details. On a subsequent trip to the Nipton area, I asked around but found no one who could (or would) substantiate that there had been any strange aerial activity in the area. If any further details become available, I will pass them along. FILE OF THE MONTH One of the features we will be running each issue is called File Of The Month. This file does not necessarily reflect the views of the Mutual UFO Network, or myself, and I can not vouch for any of the information in these files. Excerpt from "The Matrix": NEVADA US-ALIEN FACILITY BRIEF ------------------------------ After several years of painstaking research, we have unearthed the high possibility of EBE base areas in the Nevada area. Observations from many individuals, some of whom have been threatened by various parties, have led to the following conclusions: * Several facilities exist within a 100-mile radius of the Las Vegas area that are EBE operated or related. * Underground Tunnels exist between facilities and these tunnels have been constructed by or with the assistance of the EBEs. * Electromagnetic confinement zones have been set up at various locations, and one of these locations encompasses the Nevada Test Range Complex. * Further interior electromagnetic confinement zones have been constructed within the primary zones. * Bureau of Land Management (BLM) equipment doubles as confinement field projectors. * Underground facilities in the area have the following functions: * Testing and development of Defense Space Weaponry * Cloning of human replacement bodies that will be occupied by implanted consciousness. * Breeding laboratories for abducted human females. * Biological Material processing laboratories. * Confinement facilities for humans. * EBE-Govt Joint Facilities. * Facilities for Termination of Humans. * Facilities for Testing and Development of Gravitational Vehicles for USAF, NSA, and the Department of Commerce. * Transference Facilities for Human abductees. * Vortex areas serve as entry-exit points for various aerial vehicles. Vehicles as large as 200' diameter have been seen for a long time at the Jumbo Peak vortex area. The Blue Diamond vortex area is also very active, and as of June 1988, disks have been seen during daylight hours. * The metropolitan Las Vegas area is filled with MIB activity and various humanoids that are observing human activities. *************************************************** That is about all for this issue.
