                  THE MUFONET-BBS GROUP  -  MUTUAL UFO NETWORK

    PURPOSE:  To provide, on an international level, information concerning 
    private  computer  networks,  involved in the pursuit of  knowledge  in 
    areas  of scientific endeavor.   To make this infomation available  for 
    those interested in accessing same, via computer and modem linkup. 

    The   MUFONET-BBS  GROUP  (hereafter  the  "Group")   is  involved   in 
    maintaining  a  compilation of private computer  networks  involved  in 
    scientific  research  and/or  providing  information  of  a  scientific 
    nature, and,  establishing avenues of communication between the various 
    networks, for the purpose of message, file, information transfer. 

    Each  Group-member  Network will maintain it's  own  complete  identity 
    apart  from  other networks,  and work jointly with other  Networks  in 
    efforts of information availability to Users,  researchers,  scientists 
    and those seeking an understanding and knowledge of areas of scientific 
    pursuit. 

    POLICY: 

    1) Each Group-Member Network will provide the following to the Group; 

       A. Operating policies and procedures. 
       
       B. Information  listing and describing available   message and  file 
          areas. 
       
       C. Nodelist. 
     
       D. Information   concerning   those  directly  involved   with   the 
          administration of the network. 
     
       E. Provide changes/updates as they occur. 

    2) Upon  acceptance  of mail from a Group-Member  Network  (other  than 
       netmail),  the accepting Network agrees to abide by the rules of the 
       originating  Network  as determined by the requirements of the  mail 
       content. 

    3) Additional policies and procedures will be initiated as required.
