One night a long time ago I was listening to Coast to Coast with Art Bell, this was classic C2C and Art Bell was really in his element.  He had an astronomer on who was proposing the theory that pulsar's were actually extraterrestrial beacons designed to warn us that there was a massive galactic superwave headed towards earth. Now as I was listening to this I'm thinking to myslef this is probably another C2C nut (hey I was a guest as well so no comments)  and the idea sounded interesting but I shoved it into a the "I'll think about it file."

So once day I came across his book Talk of the Galaxy and I read it (and watched the video btw but thats another review).  Anyways I was tunned.  Here's a real Astronomer with a real Ph.D from a real school and one of the most fascinating theories I've ever heard.  I mean this really blows your socks off and this book just continues the journey and shows even more evidence.

Now be warned, this is a very technical book.  About half of it is the evidence proving what he's saying, and honestly I think someone needs to listen to this guy!  The other half is more digestible for non-astronomy prone individuals. So buy the book, and do buy the book, and just take it slow.  His research is footnoted, cataloged and needs to talked about.

BTW when I heard that original interview - Dr. LaViolet said when asked to explain his work, Art your only giving me 4hrs, well I think he's done three books and he's just getting started.   This is a  keeper! And next to John Lear, RCH etc. I think this was one of the best interviews Art Bell ever did.
