Another fabulous Farrell book! I read this one right after reading Brotherhood of the Bell, and I must say I was pulled in. This book is a vast conspiracy in a book, and frankly one of the better sources of information on the exploits of the Kammler group. One of the most mysterious operations in World War 2. He takes you through the whole process, from the idea, development, deployment and eventual relocation of the scientists who worked on these programs. When you get done, you'll question everything you thought you know about German weapons technology.
I don't really know where to start, so lets keep it simple. There is strong evidence, very well presented in this book, that the Germans not only had developed but tested and were preparing to deploy nuclear weapons, hydrogen bombs, fuel air bombs and many other interesting things (ie. UFOs). But where Farrell excels is his coverage and research into Hans Kammler. One of the most enigmatic characters in World War 2. But don't read this book by itself, you need to read Brotherhood of the Bell as well.
Wonderfully footnoted, well illustrated, and well researched this book is a who's who of exotic weaponry devised by the Germans. But it doesn't stop there. After you finish reading about scads of suppressed weaponry he also addresses some of the more perplexing questions like where did all this equipment and scientists go? He explores the Antarctic survival myth, Project Paper clip and others. Now I will say there are some typo's scattered throughout the book, but there is so much information PACKED in here that its only a minor annoyance.
Again a tour de force by Joseph Farrell. I recommend all his books! I have yet to be disappointed...
